Fort Worth / TX. (caf) After 50 years of making bread in Waco (Texas), Mrs Baird´s Bakeries announced it is ceasing manufacturing at that facility. Officials say they need to expand their facility to increase productivity, but the building in Waco is land locked. They plan to stop making bread there and use the facility solely for distribution. Now the bread lines at the two bakeries in Abilene (also Texas) will be getting busier with the closure of Waco. 90 of the facility´s 110 employees will lose their jobs, but Mrs. Baird´s officials say they are working to them find employment within the company. Dick Bay, Mrs. Baird´s Vice President of Operations for the Texas Region says this closure will not affect the outlet centers in Central Texas, they will remain open.
