Sable sur Sarthe / FR. (ldc) French poultry and processed meat group L.D.C. has bought the sandwich maker Entracte (Paris) from catering company Groupe Valentin Traiteur (Roanne / Loire). Entracte is France´s fourth-largest sandwich maker, L.D.C. said in a press release. The acquisition will enable the Sable-sur-Sarthe-based group to gain extra market share in the sandwich market and develop its presence in the Parisian suburb area. Entracte produces approximately 27 million sandwiches per annum. With a turnover of 26 million EUR per annum, Entracte achieves 85 percent of the amount in the retail sector.
