Pittsburgh / PA. (vp) Is it possible that no company in the United States, in any type of industry, has a business model like Vocelli Pizza? The pizza chain headquartered in Pennsylvania features a call center that takes orders for stores from Ohio to Washington DC to Florida with one 800 number. «Nobody else has a single 800 number as the driving force of its business plan», says Vocelli´s Director of Marketing Jim Powers. «Other pizza chains have different numbers for different locations. We´re the only national pizza company focusing on an 800 number call center system». The call center processes approximately 40.000 calls a week. Ninety percent of all calls are answered within 20 seconds after the initial greeting, which is significantly less than the hold time for average pizza phone orders. Vocelli´s call center is staffed with over 120 team members, who are trained in customer service. The center uses sophisticated software that integrates internet and telephone technology. Customer information is saved for repeat orders and accurate deliveries. Founded 1988, Vocelli Pizza is expanding rapidly and offers carry-out and delivery service seven days a week from more than 140 locations.
