Kyrgyzstan: showed low rates of production growth in 2008

Bishkek / KG. (apk) In 2008 Kyrgyzstan showed low rates of production growth, according to the report of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan concerning the results of agricultural sector work in 2008. In 2008, the country increased flour production level by 3,9 percent, fat-and-oil products by 3,2 percent, bakery products by 1,4 percent compared to 2007 indices. The low rates of production growth correspond to the limited financial conditions of the enterprises. The volumes of output goods do not satisfy the needs of the domestic food market and export potential of the country. The limited nature of working capital does not allow to use the production capacities of enterprises at full potential. At the first time during last three years, the country reached the level of flour production growth at 3,9 percent. The enterprises of flour milling and bakery industry mainly satisfy the needs of population. However, the quality of the products does not correspond to demands of the population, declared the report of the Ministry of Agriculture (APK Inform).
