Los Angeles / CA. (acg) Cookie Chips, a fast-growing brand of thin, delicious, bite-sized cookies, announced today that it has received a substantial growth equity investment from Alliance Consumer Growth (ACG), a leading consumer-focused private equity firm. The investment will enable the company to fuel its continued growth, expansion and development.
Cookie Chips were originally conceived by Founder + CEO Joanne Adirim, an acclaimed pastry chef and mother of three. Adirim created Cookie Chips as thin, delicious, high-quality snacks made with real ingredients that she could be proud to serve her own children. Cookie Chips are made from simple, premium, non-GMO ingredients including real butter and cage-free eggs, and contain no artificial flavors, sweeteners, coloring, preservatives or trans-fats. Cookie Chips are currently sold in leading conventional and natural grocery stores across the United States and Canada, with plans to significantly expand distribution in the years to come. «We could not be more excited about partnering with ACG. Their passion for our business, as well as their unparalleled track record helping to grow successful food brands make them the ideal partner», said Adirim.
«Cookie Chips is an authentic brand, with raving fans, that delivers a premium snacking experience», said Trevor Nelson, Managing Partner at ACG. «Joanne has created a craveable, best-in-class product that is bringing real innovation to the cookie and snack aisles. We are thrilled to partner with Cookie Chips to help take the brand through its next phase of growth».
In addition to receiving ACG’s investment, Cookie Chips has recruited a number of experienced consumer industry executives including Josie Padilla, who has joined Cookie Chips as the CFO + COO, and Frank Zampardi, who has joined as the Senior Vice President of Sales. Prior to Cookie Chips, Padilla was a senior finance and operations executive at The Coca-Cola Company, most recently as the CFO of Zico coconut water. Zampardi was a Director of Sales at Krave Pure Foods and played an integral role in its growth and success. Previously, Zampardi was a sales leader at Pirate Brands and Glaceau.
