Windsor / UK. (bbc) British Bakeries Ltd. announces plans to cease all manufacturing and support services at its site in Bradford, which would result in 370 job losses. The company says the bakery would be converted into a depot facility. The firm, which makes bread for established household names like Hovis or Nimble, is also closing a depot in Telford, which it says would result in 60 job losses. British Bakeries is a subsidiary of Premier Foods PLC (St. Albans / UK). British Bakeries operates from 23 manufacturing and distribution sites in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 6.500 people. Earlier this year the company announced plans to cease all manufacturing and support services at its site in Plymouth, with the loss of 150 jobs.
