Toronto / CA. (cnw) Marche International, a subsidiary of the Movenpick Group of Switzerland, will re-launch its flagship Marche Restaurant in down town Toronto in 2010. Marche anticipates that ten new restaurants, bistros, Marchelino and Marche Natural Bakeries will open in conjunction with its flagship restaurant in the Toronto area. Marche enjoys a colourful history in Canada. As early as in 1992, Marche opened its first restaurant in Toronto. Between 1992 and 1996, about 20 Marche and Marchelino locations were in operation in Toronto and Ottawa. Since late 2005, Marche has tirelessly scoured the Canadian marketplace for locations that would be synonymous with one of Canada´s most successful restaurants and food businesses. In 2010, the reincarnation of Marche and Marchelino in Canada will get underway. Oliver Altherr, the CEO of Marche International, is eagerly awaiting this next step in the on-going expansion of the company. «We are totally convinced that we will quickly be successful in winning over new customers in Toronto with our market-fresh cuisine and our traditional methods of baking breads and pastries». In the mid-term, Oliver Altherr is planning a total of ten locations, which will generate about 30 million CAD in revenues for the company.
