Emmerich / DE. (kf) Katjes Fassin GmbH + Co. KG announced that it is expanding its production facilities in Emmerich am Rhein. 5 million EUR are to be invested in the expansion of production capacity at the headquarters. The planned expansion will be carried out in the existing premises and will integrate state-of-the-art technologies. Katjes has already started planning and is expecting completion at the beginning of 2019.
«For Katjes, this expansion is a strategic investment in its long-term business development», says Bastian Fassin, managing partner of Katjes Fassin. «The expansion of our core vegetarian fruit gums and liquorice facility will provide additional capacity to sustain growth and develop our brand worldwide».
Katjes Fassin produces fruit jelly and liquorice at three sites in Germany: At its headquarters in Emmerich, Germany, the company produces fruit jelly and liquorice; in Remshalden near Stuttgart, Germany, the company produces effervescent products; and candies are produced in its glassy production in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
