Southport / AU. (rfg) Australian Retail Food Group Limited (RFG), which this year swallowed up Brumby´s Bakeries, is starting to see the dough rise. The Southport based group, chaired by John Cowley, announces a profit of 7,5 million AUD – a 26,7 percent increase on last financial year. Earnings before interest and tax of 12,2 million AUD were 25,8 percent above last year and exceeded forecast by 500.000 AUD. RFG´s Donut King and bb cafe systems brought in 158,2 million AUD, an increase of 10,6 percent. RFG has 360 franchised outlets, comprising 289 Donut King stores, 24 of which were gained in the last financial year, and 71 bb´s cafes, four of which were acquired in the past twelve months. «The company´s robust result is a product of a record new store roll-out program of 37 outlets and an increase in annual reported system-wide sales of 15,1 million AUD», Cowley says (press release).
