Expansion: Foodora brings splash of pink to Ottawa

Toronto / CA. (foo) International on-demand food delivery service, Foodora is announcing its latest Canadian market expansion to Ottawa, introducing its signature pink, and opening a world of convenience and flavours to busy, on-the-go Ottawans. As of April 24, Foodora’s rider fleet will bring meals by bike or car from more than 50 restaurant partners, including Shawarma King, Burgers n’ Fries Forever and Smoke’s Poutinerie, directly to customers’ homes and offices – or even a local park.

«As Foodora continues to evolve and innovate, we’re looking to bring our memorable customer experience – both on and off the app – to more Canadian cities,» says David Albert, managing director, Foodora Canada. «Our latest market expansion to Ottawa means we can connect more Canadians with a variety of new and loved restaurants and cuisines – plus, we have some big things in store for Ottawa.»

In time for Earth Day 2019, Foodora renewed its commitment to reduce plastic waste by launching a single-use plastic cutlery opt-out feature, where customers are prompted at checkout to select if they require plastic cutlery with their food delivery. This opt-out initiative rolled out Canada-wide in early April 2019 and is part of Foodora’s broader sustainability efforts toward lessening its environmental impact.

Through Foodora Canada’s website, iOS and Android apps, Foodora customers can place orders to restaurants from around the city and enjoy a flat delivery fee of CAD 1.49. Foodora customers can use the «refer-a-friend» feature within the app to send their friends CAD 10 off their first Foodora order; in turn, they’ll receive a CAD 10 credit each time a new friend places an order.

Businesses can opt in to Foodora’s corporate food delivery feature, where you can input expense codes and invite employees, set budgets and keep track of orders placed with detailed reports. This convenient feature allows employees to create group orders and set up pre-orders for meetings or events.

Foodora is dedicated to bringing food lovers around the world their favourite meals from curated local restaurants.
