Horsens / DK. (lu) International bakery group Lantmännen Unibake makes major investment in new bakery line in Denmark, thereby further consolidating its position in the market. The new production line replaces two existing lines respectively in Holstebro and Hatting. The line is expected to start production of Lantmännen Unibake´s breakfast assortment by spring 2011. «With the new investment we will have an state of the art production line with a high output that will ensure high quality products at a competitive price. Furthermore, we will help secure our competitiveness and future growth in the market», says Division Director Trine Egsgaard in Denmark. The closing of the line in Hatting affects 30 employees in Unibake´s Danish division. «The optimization of our production facilities is very positive. However, it is with great regret that we must say goodbye to employees of whom many of them have helped build and develop the production we know today. Up to the closing of the line in Hatting we will do our utmost to help the affected employees into new employment», says Egsgaard.
