Espoo / FI. (voy) Finnish Vaasan Group has acquired a 50 percent share in the Danish bake off company Nordic Bake Off AS. The Danish Mette Munk AS continues as the co-owner with a 50 percent holding. The acquisition strengthens Vaasan´s position as the leader in the Nordic bake off market.
Nordic Bake Off AS was founded in 2008 and is a joint enterprise by Vaasan and Mette Munk AS. Nordic Bake Off AS sells and markets the product ranges of both its owners to food service and service trade customers. Mette Munk AS specialises in producing and marketing the original Danish pastries for both the Danish and international markets.
«Now we can serve our customers in all Nordic countries, including Denmark. Mette Munk is an innovative and experienced partner, and we will work together to develop the Danish bake off market», says Lenita Ingelin, Director of Vaasan´s Bake Off business area.
Vaasan bake off operations cater for customers in the retail and food service sectors in Finland, Sweden, Norway and the Baltic countries. The bake off products are made in the Group´s production facilities in Joutseno in Finland as well as Fagersta and Gotland in Sweden.
