Paris / FR. (wib) What will Danone do with all the money the french group would earn by selling its cake and cookie business to Kraft Foods Inc. – we asked us last week. This week we know: Groupe Danone S.A., the maker of Dannon yogurt and Evian waters, is strengthening its baby food business with a bid to buy dutch Royal Numico N.V. (Schiphol) for 16,8 billion USD. The addition of Numico would make Danone one of the world´s largest players in the fast-growing 24 billion USD baby food industry, which experts expect to grow 25 percent by 2010.
