Sarajevo / BA. (wib) Klas d.d., biggest flour milling and bakery company in Bosnia-Herzegovina, plans to boost exports by ten percent this year and start selling its products in retail chains in the European Union and Switzerland, the company´s general manager Ibrahim Smajlagic said in a statement. To achieve its goal, Klas will invest 25 million BAM (about 12,6 million EUR) to upgrade its bakery and confectionery facilities and build a new distribution centre. The company will also spend three million BAM (1,5 million EUR) in takeovers of local peers and six million BAM (three million EUR) in environment-friendly technology. The company´s exports in 2007 were worth 7,4 million BAM (3,7 million EUR), accounting for seven percent of its total sales.
