Paterson / NJ. (kf) Palmer Township Planning Commission approved plans for Kontos Foods Inc. to establish a 17’000-square-foot bakery in Palmer Industrial Park. The Paterson, New Jersey based maker of flatbread, phyllo dough and other ethnic bread products plans to expand an existing building by another 53’235 square feet within two years, but it will have to come before the township again to finalize those plans. The bakery will not include any retail sales. The flatbread produced would be shipped to restaurants and stores around the country as well as Canada, Japan, Singapore, the Caribbean and Europe.
