(aafe) The «Alliance for Abundant Food + Energy» brings together a broad group of visionary companies and organizations committed to sustainably and responsibly improving diets and reducing dependence on fossil fuels through increased agricultural productivity worldwide – they say in a statement. They understand that through innovation, American agriculture can help meet the growing global demand for food and energy. Members include the Archer Daniels Midland Company, DuPont, John Deere, Monsanto, and the Renewable Fuels Association. The alliance says it is optimistic about global agriculture and its ability to meet growing demand for food, feed, fuel and fiber, and is confident in the ability of farmers to increase productivity to meet these needs.
