Reykjavik / IS. (bkg) Islandic Bakkavor Group, the United Kingdom’s leading fresh prepared foods manufacturer, announces the completion of the sale of its remaining 60 percent stake in Italpizza SRL, its Italian pizza manufacturing business, to Dreamfood SRL.
Dreamfood is an investment company controlled by Cristian Pederzini, the Managing Director of Italpizza. This transaction follows the sale of Bakkavor’s 40 percent stake in Italpizza to Dreamfood in May 2014.
Chief Executive Agust Gudmundsson: «The completion of this sale marks another important step for Bakkavor as we continue to focus on our core growth markets in the UK, US and Asia. This transaction also represents a great development opportunity for the Italpizza business as the company moves forward under the new ownership of Dreamfood».
