Customers are promised a wide range of products with an extra focus on fresh produce. «We are finally here, it feels wonderful. Our customers and members can count on a store filled with food joy and world-class delicacies – with a wide range of cheese, charcuterie and ready-to-eat food,» says Marcus Forsberg, Business Area Manager Coop Mitt, who has run the project in close cooperation with the store manager and staff.
At Coop City Västerås in Punkt Gallerian, customers are greeted by fresh fruit and vegetables every day and the smell of store-baked bread. The store also has a large salad bar and several other good lunch options such as ready-made sandwiches, baguettes and food boxes to heat. The Coop store in Punkt has its own kitchen that will make everything from sandwich cakes to its own meatballs. There is also a vegan bar.
«In the vegan bar, we have a wide range of vegan and vegetarian favourites, all gathered in one place for an easier overview of the range. It should be easy to choose vego,» says Marcus Forsberg. In total, Coop now has ten stores in Västerås, three of which are under the low-price concept X-:tra with great prices every day. In autumn 2024, another X:-tra will open in Igor Galleria.
