Countries of the Black Sea region to reduce grain exports

(ami) In the current year, grain exports from the countries of the Black Sea region will reduce by nearly eleven percent, declared Tatyana Krooymans, the chairman of the board of the representative office of Rabobank in Russia, on July 28. According to forecasts of the bank, in 2008/2009 MY, Ukraine will export nearly 17 million tonnes of grains only. Krooymans also forecasts the growth of grain production in the world due to the stable demand. The expert also expects for the increase of main arable land areas, locating mainly in the CIS countries and Africa, by nearly 140 million hectares (source: agrimarket.info).
