Domino’s UK+IRL: momentum continues

Milton Keynes / UK. (dp) Domino´s Pizza UK and IRL PLC reported that sales soared 17,8 percent to 83,3 million GBP in the third quarter as its store openings progressed. The pizza delivery chain has continued to perform strongly since its half year results, with a further nine store openings in the 13 weeks to September 28. Commenting on the results, Chief Executive Chris Moore said that trading in the period was particularly encouraging given the strong comparatives last year. «We are very pleased with the momentum in the business and the resilience of our business model during these more challenging economic times», he added. The company´s store opening programme is on track to achieve its target of 50 new stores this year. At 28 September 2008 Domino´s Pizza UK and IRL had 535 stores.
