Dr. Oetker: expands its International Executive Board

Bielefeld / DE. (oe) Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG has expanded its international management team. With effect from August 15, 2024, Carl Oetker joined the Management Board and took over responsibility for the Purchasing department.

After studying business administration with a focus on finance in Maastricht, Turin and London, Carl Oetker initially worked in an international management consultancy and in investment companies. In 2020, he joined Dr. August Oetker KG as assistant to the personally liable partner and member of the Group Management Board, Dr. Albert Christmann, and in 2022, as Managing Director of the Dr. Oetker national companies in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, he took over the areas of Finance, Production, Supply Chain, Human Resources and IT. When he joined the International Management Board of Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG in August, he took over responsibility for the company’s global purchasing from the Chairman of the Management Board, Dr. Albert Christmann. Until December 31, 2024, he will continue to serve as Managing Director of the Dr. Oetker national companies in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, which he will coach in the future.

He will be succeeded in the management of the Dr. Oetker national companies in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg on January 01, 2025 by Britta Zahnert, who has been responsible for the company’s international controlling as Senior Executive Manager Controlling International at Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG since 2017. Parallel to her training as an industrial clerk, Britta Zahnert completed a degree in business administration and then worked in various commercial functions of an international company. In 2007, she began working for Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG in the auditing department, and since 2011 she has successfully held various positions in cross-functional project and post-merger integration management and international controlling. In the future, the members of Dr. Oetker’s International Executive Board are Dr. Albert Christmann (Chairman), Dr. Alexander Edelmann, Carl Oetker, Georg Heerdegen Parsbo, Dr. Christian von Twickel, Claudia Willvonseder.
