London / UK. (fdf) Ian Wright CBE, Director General of the Food and Drink Federation (FDF), represented UK food and drink manufacturing at the first meeting of Britain’s business leaders since the EU Referendum. FDF and other leading trade associations in the UK discussed with the Business Secretary the most pressing concerns for businesses and their employees following the Referendum vote. Ministers convened the roundtable to discuss the challenges facing businesses, and ensuring that the upcoming negotiations on the UK’s future with the EU takes into account the views of UK companies, current and potential investors, and workers. FDF set out the views of the UK’s food and drink manufacturers and called for the best possible trading environment, as Government navigates a new relationship between the UK and EU.
