Greggs PLC: announces preliminary results H1-2024

Newcastle upon Tyne / UK. (gs) British Greggs PLC, the leading bakery food-on-the-go retailer in the UK with 2,500 retail outlets throughout the country, announced its Interim results for the 26 weeks ended 29th June 2024. The strong performance continued in the first half of 2024 – delivering on the company’s strategic growth plan and building on last year’s record performance. Financial highlights include: Total first-half sales were up 13.8 percent, with company-managed shop like-for-like sales up by 7.4 percent. The underlying profit before tax, excluding exceptional items was up 16.3 percent to GBP 74.1 million.
