IBC: announces first profit in this year

Kansas City / MO. (ibc) Interstate Bakeries Corporation (IBC) says that it posted a profit in the month ended June 30, reversing losses in previous months. It was just the third monthly profit for the maker of Twinkies and Wonder Bread in almost three years. In a U.S. Bankruptcy Court filing, the Kansas City company reported net income of 1,1 million USD on sales of 237,1 million USD. IBC lost a combined 9,8 million USD in its two previous reporting periods. In a separate filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said John K. Suckow resigned on August 08 as executive vice president and chief restructuring officer.
