Tallinn / EE. (tbc) In December 2008, Fazer Estonia opened bakeries offering warm pastries in Rezekne and Ogre. The enterprise announced that in the first half of 2009, three new bakeries will be opened in Kuldiga, Daugavpils and in Salaspils. «In addition to expansion to Latvia, we also opened eleven new bakeries in Estonia as well as two new establishment selling pastries. We hope that our pastries will become as popular on the other side of the border as they are here», said the business development director of Fazer Estonia Kristjan Kongo to «The Baltic Course». He added that the product variety available in Latvia will be similar to Estonia. The first Fazer bakery was opened in Estonia in 1996, by now there are 50 of them in Estonia. Fazer Estonia is a part of the Fazer Group that is currently operating in eight countries.
