Astana / AZ. (mda) McDonalds Azerbaijan intends to be turned into a central centre to develop the network of fast food restaurants in South Caucasian region and Central Asia, said managing director of McDonalds Azerbaijan Maksud Mirzoev to local media. «Its production capacities will enable to serve the McDonalds restaurants in the republic as well as in nearest foreign countries – in Georgia and Middle Asian countries, where there are not restaurants of this network as yet. To these aims approximately 4,5 million USD will be allocated from total volume of investments in the amount of 9,5 million USD, allocated for realization of infrastructure projects of McDonalds company in Azerbaijan during 2009 to 2010». In accordance with the plan, the centre will be equipped with modern automated in full bakery that will enable to make bakery products in accordance with the country´s standards and will eliminate the necessity of its import from Ukraine and Russia. Mirzoev: «The company´s central office already gave permission for the centre´s construction. The company´s leadership and specialists are expected to visit in order to get familiarized with the situation in local market on the project of the distribution centre as well as to meet with the producers of agricultural production, which are our suppliers as early as during five years».
