Arnstein / DE. (mi) With the founding of a representative office in Singapore, German Miwe Michael Wenz GmbH, manufacturer of bakery processing plants, increases its activity in Southeast Asia. This is an indicator of the growing strategic importance of the region in the overall internationalisation of the company.
The office, which began operations on 01 November 2016, will be responsible for Singapore as well as, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and the Philippines.
The primary tasks of Miwe South East Asia Pte. Limited include local support for regional sales and service partners, a targeted establishment of the Miwe brand and building up of a regional key account management. The representative office will also organize training courses on Miwe products, which will be conducted on-site or at partners’ premises.
Altogether, by being closer to its customers in Southeast Asia, the company expects to be able to react more quickly to provide better support, especially in the area of application technology. Markus Segerer has been named general manager of the office, with responsibility for coordination and organisation and Eddie Ng as sales director and master baker Jonathan See, who both know the Southeast Asian baking market well, will closely work with Roy Kim, the regional sales director of Miwe Michael Wenz GmbH Germany. A service technician will round off the team.
