Neuhauser Group: to build two more plants

Folschviller / FR. (ng) French Neuhauser Group is planning to build two new facilities. Only one year after the opening of its 31-million-EUR-plant in Maubeuge (see b:eu on 2009-01-06) and just weeks after the start of a new plant in Saint Quentin, the company wants to build in the Vendee and Lorraine regions. According to French Flexnews the Vendee plant will be built on the site of «Brioche Sicard» located in St. Hermine, which was acquired in 2009. The site already produces frozen and fresh brioches for supermarkets and wholesalers. The new facility, alongside the existing plant, will double the site´s size with a production unit dedicated to the manufacture of raw and part baked bread, but also rustic breads baked in stone ovens. The new plant is expected to be ready this year and will include a cold storage and logistics base to supply products to the western part of France. In 2011, a new plant will also be built in Lorraine. The first part of the this new plant – 15’000 square metres – will be operational as of the first half 2011 and will include several lines of frozen rustic breads and cold storage facilities and a research and development centre, Neuhauser Group told Flexnews.
