St. Louis / MO. (rh) Ralcorp Holdings Inc. profit increased 57 percent in the first quarter of fiscal 2009 due to its acquisition of Post Foods. Ralcorp posted a profit of 66 million USD in the quarter that ended December 31, up from 42 million USD during the same quarter a year ago. The company reported sales of 968 million USD for the quarter, up from 651 million USD in the year-ago quarter. Ralcorp bought Post cereals from Kraft Foods Inc. last August for 2,6 billion USD.
