Valcea / RO. (wib) Romanian Boromir Ind. SRL has remained silent on reports that it is in talks to acquire Feleacul confectionery brands. Some local papers reported that the bakery group is negotiating with confectionary company Feleacul S.A. regarding the sale of the latter´s brands. Production would initially take place under a partnership deal at Boromir´s Amylon Sibiu plant. Feleacul, based in Cluj-Napoca (Central-Romania) produces a range of sweets and last year added milk products to its portfolio. The company, owned by the brothers Octavian and Calin Buzoianu, reported a 70 million EUR turnover in 2007, treble that of 2006. Boromir Group´s turnover reached 110 million EUR in 2007, up 23 percent on 2006.
