Moscow / RU. (ami) The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation expects for grain production in the country in 2010 at the level of 63 million tonnes, declared Elena Skrynnik, the Minister of Agriculture, on September 09. According to her, to date, Russian agrarians harvested 48 million tonnes of grains, the country plans to produce additional 15 million tonnes of grains in the Siberian, Urals and Southern Federal Districts. The Minister considers that there are no economic grounds for grain agiotage on the market. Skrynnik also marked that the present grain stocks in Russia are estimated at the level of 26 million tonnes. As a reminder, previously the Ministry of Agriculture announced the index at the level of 21,3 million tonnes (source: agrimarket.info).
