Altamonte Springs / FL. (sc) Selma´s Cookies, a Central Florida-based maker of cookies for theme parks, supermarkets and coffee shops, said in a press release the company has moved into a new 25.000-square-foot bakery in Apopka (Orange County; US-Florida). The new state-of-the-art facility features high-speed packaging machines, rack ovens and chocolate coating machines. «It is so state-of-the-art, we do not turn off the lights at night, they go off by themselves», company founder Selma Sayin says in her statement. Sayin started her company out of her home kitchen nearly 20 years ago. She made cookies for her clients while working as a sales representative for a local radio station. After her treats received rave reviews, Sayin started to branch out. Now, the company prepares nearly 15.000 cookies, brownies and crispy rice treats a day. The Apopka-based company also runs a bakery in Las Vegas that serves the West Coast.
