Kiev / UA. (ami) As of August 27, the average weighted purchasing price for 3-grade wheat in Ukraine totalled 1’472 Ukrainian Hryvni per ton (UAH/ton), an increase of 41 percent compared to the price index of the same date of the previous year, and completely corresponded to the previous week indices, informed the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, referring to operative data of levels of average weighted purchasing prices for grains in Ukraine.
According to the announcement, as of the reporting date, the price of 4-grade wheat totalled 1’394 UAH/ton (up 46 percent compared to the last year price, and up two percent compared to the previous week indices), 6-grade wheat 1’318 UAH/ton (up 63 percent compared to 2009 indices, and up one percent compared to the previous week results).
At the same time, the minimum and maximum prices of 3-grade wheat totalled 1’400 UAH/ton and 1’546 UAH/ton, 4-grade wheat 1’300 UAH/ton and 1’500 UAH/ton, 6-grade 1’150 UAH/ton and 1’510 UAH/ton, respectively.
Besides, as of August 27, the average weighted purchasing price for rye, group A, in Ukraine totalled 1’133 UAH/ton, up 49 percent compared to the previous year index, and up two percent compared to the previous week. The minimum price of the grain totalled 958 UAH/ton, and the maximum price 1’425 UAH/ton.
Maize price totalled 1’367 UAH/ton (up 50 percent compared to the level of 2009, and up one percent compared to the previous week). At the same time, the minimum and maximum prices totalled 1’150 UAH/ton and 1’600 UAH/ton, respectively.
The average weighted purchasing price for 3-grade barley in Ukraine totalled 1’320 UAH/ton, up 62 percent compared to the previous year index, and up 3 percent compared to the previous week. The minimum and maximum prices totalled 1’100 UAH/ton and 1’500 UAH/ton, respectively.
As of August 27, 2010, the average weighted purchasing price for sunflower in Ukraine totalled 3’121 UAH/ton, an increase of 52 percent compared to the price level of the same date of the previous year (2’069 UAH/ton), and up one percent compared to the previous week results, informed the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
As of the reporting date, the minimum price for the oilseed totalled 2’800 UAH/ton, the maximum price 3’275 UAH/ton.
Besides, as of August 27, the average soybean price totalled 2’493 UAH/ton, down nine percent compared to the previous year level (in 2009 2’750 UAH/ton). At the same time, the minimum and maximum prices of soybean totalled 2’350 UAH/ton and 2’600 UAH/ton, respectively.
As of the reporting date, the average weighted purchasing price for rapeseed in Ukraine totalled 3’467 UAH/ton, up 27 percent compared to the previous year prices. The minimum price totalled 3’250 UAH/ton, the maximum price 3’625 UAH/ton (source: agrimarket.info).
